After evaluating a number of client applications for blogging and examining whether using something that posted blog pages from a client application and didn’t require a blog hosting site, we concluded that using blogger and a Mac Blogging client called Blogo is the best solution.
Blogo does a good job of synchronizing entries entered offline and online entries. It also have some good other good features.
Blogger (blogspot) supports categories, comments, themes, support for third-level domain names and the ability to add different widgets you can create from other sites. I use a weRead widget to list the books I am currently reading.
Third-level domain names gives it a more consistent web address when you have another registered domain name like we do (www.dataprep.com). The third-level domain name would be something like mdblogs.dataprep.com instead of mdelaplane.blogspot.com.
